Air Conditioning Maintenance 101!

Maintaining Your Air Conditioner

air conditioner maintenance Your Air Conditioner is one of the most important machines in your household. Like all great machines, they will require care and maintenance to keep doing what they do best.

When it comes to us, our process is simple.

We Get The Call – Once you call us, you will speak to one of our representatives. From here they will dispatch one of our expertly trained inspectors to arrive at your house.

Our Inspector Arrives – Once the inspector arrives, they will do a default consultation. They will talk you through all the procedures they’re taking to make sure you are getting the service you need.

The Work is Done – From there, we begin working on the Air conditioning unit. We test all of the typical problems that plague a system such as tripped power breaker, frozen coils, and backed up lines. Beyond that, we then make check all of the at-risk parts to ensure they are not on the verge of breaking down.

Finish up – From this point on, our inspector will part ways and give you our card. If you would like to schedule regular maintenance, we can meet every six months to a year, and we also offer comprehensive services.

When should you Run your Air Conditioning in Florida?

How you should manage your Air Conditioner when you’re not home.

when should you run your air conditionerWhen you are not home during the day, your air conditioner should be off. Depending on how hot it is near you, we usually keep our air conditioner programmed to 84 because after that it begins to be too uncomfortable to even walk into the home.

However, when we keep our AC to 84, more often than not it won’t reach anywhere near there during the day.

What temperature you should keep it at when you’re home?

When you are home, the temperature is entirely up to you. I’m not the kind of person to leave the air conditioning running 24/7, so I will usually drop it to a few degrees below the current temperature.

what temperature should you have on when youre asleepThis will activate the unit so you can feel the cold air coming in without forcing it to reach a number that might be insane. If you want the house to be colder, we recommend bringing it down 5 degrees at a time until you reach the level you’re happy with.

What temperature you should have it on when you’re asleep?

While you’re sleeping, it is recommended by members of the healthcare profession that you keep the temperature between 60 and 67 degrees.

The biggest component of initiating sleep in your body is bringing your body temperature down. So the colder your house is, the easier it is for you to find that comfortable temperature for sleep.
